ECFS CAMP!

 

The long awaited ECFS camp took off on the 16th of April and it will be three days that everyone will remember for a very long time. The amazing water slide, high ropes, mouth watering marshmallows around the camp fire and the karaoke night was just at a whole new level of fun. This was the first camp organized by ECFS and it delivered well beyond expectations. It was a perfect opportunity to show our fellow members the fun side of our society. To sum things up, ECFS camp was a place where everyone made a whole bunch of new friends, had so much fun and drank the night away together around a big campfire.

SUMMER ONE CAREER EVENT

 

The career event ECFS held on the 9th of March was a great success. The event promoted as ‘Start your career with a bang, Meet the employers’ had an attendance of around 120 students who came to meet our big sponsors Chartered Accountants, Deloitte and Ernst & Young. Here students got a chance to find out what these top-tier employers are looking for, the application requirements, dates and deadlines and much more valuable tips on how to start your career. The highlight of the event was the resume review session where representatives from our sponsors reviewed and gave tips on how to improve resumes brought by our members. Everyone who brought their resume along got it reviewed by a professional and found out on how they can improve it to make a better first impression when applying for a job.

FREE ECFS GET-TOGETHER BBQ!

 

“Did someone say free BBQ?” Yes, ECFS organized a free BBQ on the 23rd of March as a welcome for all our new members who joined us on O-Week. Not only new members, but all members were welcome for this afternoon full of free food and drinks.It was a perfect sunny afternoon to meet and catch up with friends while relaxing in the courtyard biting on some of the best sausages cooked by our executives themselves!

INTERVARSITY SPORTS DAY

This year too ECFS Macquarie helped organise the Intervarsity Sports Day. Students from Macquarie, UNSW, UTS and USYD competed in basketball and soccer to win prizes of $1000. Unfortunately Macquarie did not win this year but students who participated had a great time and are more determined to bring the trophy to Macquarie University next time.Photos please check our Facebook page!
